Fare-Free on Transit Equity Day

Valley Metro will offer fare-free service on Tuesday, February 4, 2026, in recognition of Transit Equity Day.

Transit Equity Day highlights the role public transportation plays in providing access to jobs, education, healthcare, and community connections. Offering fare-free service is one way Valley Metro supports equitable mobility and removes barriers to travel across the region.

All fixed-route bus service, Smart Way, and MetroFLX trips will be free of charge throughout the day. Riders will not need to pay a fare or show a pass to board.

We encourage residents, workers, students, and visitors to take advantage of fare-free service and experience public transit as a convenient and accessible option.
