Improve Bus Stop Accessibility

The Roanoke Valley-Alleghany Regional Commission is preparing a Bus Stop Accessibility Study. This is an update to a 2013 study that investigates access to, from, and at bus stops in the Roanoke Valley. RVARC staff are working with area stakeholders to identify obstacles and provide guidance on how to approach improvements to bus stops throughout the regional transit system.
In this effort, RVARC is looking for your thoughts and ideas. An online survey is here until June 30, 2025. In addition to online surveys, RVARC staff will be at Third Street Station to engage riders in person on:

Wednesday, June 18th between 8-9:30;
Thursday, June 19th between 10:45-11:30; and
Friday, June 27th between 10:45-11:30.
