Ride Free on Election Day!

On Tuesday, November 4, all Valley Metro buses will operate fare-free! This includes all regular routes, as well as Smart Way, STAR paratransit, and MetroFLX microtransit services.

Each year, the Greater Roanoke Transit Company Board of Directors approves fare-free service on Election Day to help make it easier for riders to reach their polling locations and participate in the democratic process.

To find your polling place, go to elections.virginia.gov/casting-a-ballot/polling-place-lookup/ and enter your address.
